Can my anoles be in an air conditioned room?

due to the extremem temps we have had (in my area) for the past few days, it has forced us to turn on our AC system. however my anoles are in a room with an air conditioner, which is currently off. the room however (due to the heat) is somewhat hot. i read that the anoles lilke high temps. the room is so hot (about 85 F) that im just sittin here and im sweatin up a storm lol. anyways, could i turn the AC on or would that cause some kind of effect towards the anoles, other than a colder tempature?
