IS LIBYA ABOUT OIL OR HUMANITY?

With the rising cost of gasoline at the pumps one has to wonder when is this going to end. We all knew that Libya produced 2 % of the world oil supplies, which is not a major lost to the world supplies. The U.S seems to be all caught up in Gaddafi's Dictatorship and the carnage it depicts. On the other hand Syria Dictator Bashar al- ad is depicting mive carnage and no one seems to care. Now here are my questions, why is it so important for Gaddafi to leave? Is the U.S showing interest in Libya because of it oil supply or the U.S just care about the Libyan people? What about Syria, it is because that country isn’t a major oil supplier as to why the U.S isn’t showing interest in all that Carnage? When is the U.S going to become a major oil supplier again like it once was back in the early days, why do we have to suffer ?
