What qualitative data? Dont understand it at all, please help!!?

Im writing up a lab for my biology cl and their is a part that asks for the qualitative data, i cant seem to grasp what that means, ive searched the internet and it was no help. My lab is on the surface area to volume ratio in cells and we used agar cubes to measure the rate of diffusion. So the agar would stand for the cell and from that i would learn the relationship of the surface area to volume ratio in cells.
