What does "I'm not looking for anything" mean in the dating world?

Hi Jonathan D, the way I read it she's telling him that she doesn't want at this time. He may have said that he isn't looking for anything, but I think she's telling him this because she thinks sometime soon the question might be brought up. So she's preempting that by saying what she did say. She's just making sure that he knows she's not ready for . Of course he and you know he's not after , but she doesn't.
