Question for Young Earth Creationists who attended Christian school?

I am curious to know how much time was spent discussing evolution in your school’s biology cles. When you make statements against the validity of evolution, is it the result of having been taught to argue against it from a biological standpoint using a particular curriculum? Or is it the result of having studied the issue on your own, via library books or some other source?
