Any one in uk got a wood burner and does it cause a lot of dust in the room ?

I was looking at wood burner and wondered what the good points and bad points are , am worried we might find it dirty after having never used one b4. I am considering installing it instead of a gas fire we have at moment which has a proper chimney . I remember having an open coal fire at home and it was pretty messy but wondered if a wood burner was as messy .thanks for any answers
